There are still no confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Comal County, according to information distributed by the city.
According to the press release, the declaration was recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC is also urging residents to avoid social gatherings in groups larger than 10 people.
The emergency management plan has been activated, and the city is authorized to “take any actions necessary to promote health and suppress disease, including quarantine, and regulation of hospitals, regulating ingress and egress from the City, and fining those who do not comply with the City’s rules.”
