The New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation announced Sept. 23 the city of New Braunfels will be the location of PNC Bank’s new operations center.

A 60,000-square-foot, Class A office space will be built off of Sundance Parkway near FM 306 and will house “hundreds of local employees,” according to the NBEDC announcement.

Additionally, the NBEDC will grant PNC Bank an $800,000 job-creation and performance-based incentive. To receive the grant, PNC must meet the local employee hiring requirement and maintain that level for a minimum of five years.

“The company’s operations center fits well into the NBEDC strategic plan of improving the quality of life in New Braunfels,” said Chester Jenke, NBEDC vice president of economic development. “PNC provides opportunity for our residents through good, paying jobs and offers the opportunity for company upward advancement.”

Construction of the PNC Center is expected to be completed by winter 2020.
