Available positions include a solid waste operator, with a pay range from $17.18-$20.61 per hour depending on the applicant's level of experience. Advancement opportunities are available.
Those hired for the position will perform skilled and semi-skilled work operating and driving solid waste and recycling collection vehicles and equipment on daily routes for special collection events. A minimum Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required, but according to the city of New Braunfels, it can help approved applicants obtain the CDL.
The positions include consistent daytime hours; health, vision and dental insurance; and paid sick leave. Additionally, benefits include vacation, a 2:1 match on retirement, tuition reimbursement, overtime opportunities and paid training.
