Officials with New Braunfels Utilities announced two electric community forums will be hosted to address NBU customers’ electric bill concerns. The forums will take place Aug. 24 from 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the New Braunfels Civic and Convention Center.

According to NBU officials, the forums will begin with a presentation by NBU CEO Ian Taylor. Breakout sessions will follow to provide citizens with the opportunity to speak with NBU representatives and learn about operations, billing support and conversation resources.

Some of the topics NBU experts discuss with residents include the Power Cost Recovery Adjustment, Winter Storm Uri recovery, capital improvement projects, governance, the electric market, hedging and the power supply program.

Residents can also learn more about solar energy, conservation, and rebates and consumption alerts. Stations will be available at the forum to set up payment plans and discuss late fees on utility bills.

For residents of the community who are unable to attend, the sessions will be live streamed at http://nbutexas.com/electric-forum.
