Beginning May 7 the Comal County Recycling Center will pause all brush collections, according to a county press release.

The suspension in services comes after the recycling center brush yard, located at 281 Resource Drive, New Braunfels, reached capacity.

On May 9 the center will begin grinding brush to clear space and is slated to continue the operation for two and a half weeks, according to the release.

“Our recycling yard will open back up for clients as soon as we can receive brush safely and assure the traffic flow is safe for everyone on our property,” said James Tart, recycling center director, in the release.

The brush yard is expected to reopen to the public on May 26. Visit the Comal County Recycling Center website for additional information.
