New Braunfels District 1 City Councilmember Shane Hines will host a citizen forum June 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Westside Community Center, located at 2932 S. I-35 in New Braunfels. During the forum, New Braunfels Assistant City Manager Bryan Woods will give a presentation on the district’s capital improvement projects.   “This will include information about Das Rec, the New Braunfels Community Center, which is scheduled to open July 21 this summer,” Hines said in a statement. Woods will also address District 1 projects that are being considered for the proposed 2019 bond program. The forum will be the first hosted by Hines since he took office earlier this year after winning a Feb. 17 special election to replace City Councilmember George Green.
