Medical transport service now operating out of New Braunfels

AirLift Texas, an air medical transport service, opened its new air base AirLift 10 in New Braunfels in November.

AirLift Texas is a program of Air Methods, a national air medical transport service that provides emergency and nonemergency air medical services. The company operates in over 250 bases in 46 states, according to its website.

The aircraft in New Braunfels has the range to service the entire state, according to area manager David Lopez. AirLift Texas also has bases in Waco and Weslaco. San Antonio AirLife in Uvalde is also an Air Methods program.
