“We’re going to start liquidating next week so that we can get rid of some of these books,” said Sabrina Caldwell, owner of The Book Haus. The liquidation sale will begin Feb. 20 until they close.
Caldwell told Community Impact that it no longer made financial sense to continue to operate the bookstore.
In a Facebook post, the retailer said they will miss their regulars and meeting new customers. Community pop-up events will still be on the horizon after the brick-and-mortar location closes.
The Book Haus carries new and used books and offers store credit in exchange for books that customers bring in.
