Visitors to the downtown area Dec. 5 sampled wassail, a hot mulled-cider beverage, from a variety of vendors, enjoyed live music and had an opportunity to shop at local businesses.
A number of vendors also entered the annual Wassailfest Wassail Meister competition. Entries are blind-judged by a panel of tasters who determine the winners.
The winners of the 2019 competition were Keller Williams Heritage in first place, VFW Post 7110 in second place and Corridor Title in third place.
Winners will be honored at a New Braunfels City Council meeting Jan. 13.
