The New Braunfels Art League will announce its Artist of the Year at an open reception Jan. 5. From 5-7:30 p.m. at the league’s headquarters, located at 239 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels.
The winner will be an artist who won first, second or third place in one of 2017’s art shows, and they will be displayed on the cover of the organization’s membership book as well as have a display up through the end of 2018.
The award will be presented at about 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
All of the Artist of the Year nominees’ work will be on display at the New Braunfels Art League through the end of the month. Hours of operation are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 12-5 p.m. Sunday.
