Local blues and rock artist Larry Wilson will headline a free, family-friendly show at the Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center, joined by several fellow musicians.

About the artist

Founder of a monthly musicians' circle called Pickin’ on the Porch, where area musicians gather along the Colorado River and create music, Wilson is known for his "soulful sound and electrifying performances,” said Rachel Hatch, spokesperson for the museum.

“A true Bastrop original, Larry has shared the stage with legends like Jimmy La Fave, Jerry Lewis, and James Brown," Hatch said.

The museum hosts the “Music in the Museum" series every third Saturday of the month. Following Wilson and Friends, the next show will feature an acoustic set by local duo John & Jenn from My Nextdoor Neighbor on June 21.
