The Care First Clinic team opened the doors to a new facility in Liberty Hill on May 20, a clinic employee said.

Owned by Kaela Thurman, Care First Clinic is a primary and urgent care provider that treats wounds, allergies, various conditions and infections, minor injuries and pain and provides wellness services such as weight loss management and vitamin injections.

Sorting out the details

About a year ago, the Care First team broke ground on the clinic’s new facility located at 12635 W. Hwy. 29, Liberty Hill.

At the time, Director of Operations James Shamard told Community Impact the doctor’s office was moving to a new space because of the busyness of the clinic and limits to the number of patients who could be treated.

Shamard told CI the new building would be roughly 5,100 square feet, which is more than twice the size of the old 2,400 square-foot facility at 12701 W. Hwy. 29, Liberty Hill. He said the new building opens up more room for additional providers.

A clinic employee said Care First expanded from five examination rooms to 12 with this new building.
