Liberty Hill City Manager Paul Brandenburg resigned from his position on July 23.

City Council voted to accept his resignation at the July 23 council meeting. Brandenburg's resignation took effect immediately.

Each department director will be responsible for their own department, and Deputy City Manager Mike Etienne will supervise overall administration until a permanent replacement has been hired.

Brandenburg had served as Liberty Hill's city manager since 2022, according to the city's website.

Before coming on with the city, he was the city administrator for Georgetown for 12 years, and was most recently a project manager with the Brazos River Authority before taking the job in Liberty Hill.

Representatives from the City of Liberty Hill had no comment on the resignation as of press time.
