At its Oct. 17 meeting, City Council approved $149,000 in contracts for improvements to the site—a roughly $6,000 contract with Bee Cave Drilling to work on wells on the property, and a $143,000 contract with Texas Patriot Contracting for exterior and interior improvements and renovations to the site.
Following that meeting, city staff determined the larger contract should go through the competitive bid process due to the scope of work and cost of the project, according to agenda documents.
