Multiple roads are expected to be closed through Leander’s Old Town district for the annual Old Town Street Festival taking place on June 1 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

What you need to know

According to city documents, the following roads may be closed on the day of the event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.:
  • Bagdad Street from Broad Street to Willis Street
  • Broade Street from Hero Way West to US 183
  • Municipal Drive from South Street to West Drive
  • South Street from West Drive to Municipal Drive
  • West Drive from Broade Street to Municipal Drive


The following roads may also be closed from 5 a.m.-11:59 p.m.:
  • Bagdad Street from Willis Street to South Street
  • Brushy Street from Broade Street to Atkin Street
  • South Street from West Drive to US 183
Attendees can find parking near Christine Camacho Elementary, Leander Middle School and the Leander ISD Administration building, per the documents.

About the event


This year, the Old Town Street Festival will feature live music, a children's play area and an Old Town 5K chip-timed run as well as food, beverage and craft vendors.

The 5K run will begin at 11 a.m. at 100 N. Brushy St. Live music will also begin at 11 a.m. with performances by Jazz Daddies, Steph Cash Band, Cory Morrow and more.
