Liberty Hill City Council approved its third budget amendment for fiscal year 2022-23 at its June 14 meeting.

In a nutshell
  • One reason for the budget amendment was due to indirect cost allocations for utilities and wastewater.
  • The other was due to the approved purchase of meter replacements as well as new meters and a collector for the Water Department, according to meeting documents.
  • If a city department exceeds the annual budget, Council has to then approve a budget amendment, according to the documents. FY 2022-23 ends Sept. 30.
“This just makes this to where we can actually put [these items] in the budget and allocate [them] appropriately,” Finance Director Sidney Smith said at the meeting.
