Council approved a contract for renovations on an older pair of buildings in Old Town Leander at its June 15 meeting.

In a nutshell
  • The $577,362 contract agreement was awarded to DKC Construction Group.
  • As part of the fiscal year 2022 capital improvement program, the existing emergency medical services building will be renovated to serve as open office space for the city’s inspectors, and the garage will be used as a conference room.
  • The buildings previously housed a Williamson County EMS unit, which was reviewed and assessed in 2022 to be later converted into an office space. The city was in great need for this type of space, according to meeting documents.
  • Located behind Pat Bryson Municipal Hall, the EMS building is 1,326 square feet, and the garage is 432 square feet.
A timeline on construction was not available at the meeting.
