The city of Leander's MLK Day March and Celebration will now be held on Jan. 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event was rescheduled due to inclement weather on Jan. 15.

Leander officials announced Jan. 14 the postponement of the city’s annual MLK Day March and Celebration due below-freezing temperatures throughout the Central Texas region.

About the event

Originally scheduled for Jan. 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the event was planned to begin with the MLK march, followed by a keynote speaker, a variety of performances and the announcement of the essay contest winners.
