Three candidates have filed for a place on the ballot in the Liberty Hill ISD board of trustees election May 3.

For Place 7, school board President Megan Parsons will run against challenger Cyndi Hauser. Incumbent Kristi Hargrove will run uncontested for Place 6.

The overview

On May 3, the district will hold an election for places 6 and 7 as trustees in these positions reach the end of their three-year terms. The filing period for the election closed at 5 p.m. Feb. 14, with three applicants filing before the deadline.

Parsons was first elected in 2019 and became president of the board in 2020, according to district information. Hargrove was elected in 2021 to fill a partial-term seat and was re-elected in 2022.
