Parents in Liberty Hill ISD may view science instructional materials for next school year at upcoming district events.

What you need to know

The district will host two events in late January for community members to review instructional materials for K-12 science classes. The events will be led by LHISD Instructional Materials Coordinator Elizabeth DeFrancisis, according to the district's website.

In November, the State Board of Education adopted new K-12 science materials for the 2024-25 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency. Some of those materials are now being reviewed by LHISD’s Science Instructional Materials Selection Committee, according to the website.

Parents may see sample materials at the following preview nights:
  • Jan. 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Louine Noble Elementary, 101 Main St. Loop 332, Liberty Hill
  • Jan. 24 from 4-6 p.m. at Rancho Sienna Elementary, 751 Bonnet Blvd., Georgetown
