The backstory
The Liberty Hill restaurant is owned by Niki Granit, a third-generation Italian chef whose family moved to Texas from Sicily in the 1980s.
Granit's uncle Johnny Vebi started the family-owned business in 2003 when he opened the first Bella Sera restaurant in Marble Falls. Over the last 22 years, the family has opened several locations across the Central Texas area, including Boerne, Fredericksburg, New Braunfels, and Kerrville. Bella Sera also has a franchise location in Leander, Granit said.
Granit said he was inspired to open Bella Sera in Liberty Hill after witnessing the area's growth.
What’s on the menu
The restaurant serves fresh bread and pasta made in-house, including the pasta sampler featuring lasagna, cannelloni and manicotti. Some of the most popular menu items include lasagna and chicken alfredo, Granit said.
Bella Sera serves desserts, offers a selection of wine and beer and provides catering for large groups. The restaurant also hosts live classical music, General Manager Frank Grabovci said.
Bella Sera stands out from other restaurants through its menu, which features more than 100 items to choose from, Granit said.
What they're saying
“We put our effort, our love and our passion into each of our dishes—our pasta and pizza that we make on a daily basis,” Grabovci said.
Looking ahead
Granit said he hopes to open another Bella Sera restaurant in the San Marcos or Austin area in the future.
