Liberty Hill City Council approved a retail site plan at its Jan. 8 meeting for a development that will include a new Target store.

The roughly 35.5-acre development will sit at 351 US 183, Liberty Hill, and Target is set to serve as the anchor of the development, according to agenda documents.

Construction on the store is slated to start on July 14, according to a document from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and it is scheduled to be finished by June 4, 2026.

Construction is expected to cost $22 million, according to the TDLR, and the facility will be about 148,000 square feet.


Wastewater from the development is set to be handled by Liberty Hill, and water for the development will be provided by Georgetown, according to agenda documents.
