Local leaders gathered to celebrate the addition of a new Williamson County Emergency Medical Services medic station to Liberty Hill Fire Station No. 2 on April 11.

Increasing call volumes paired with ongoing growth in the area prompted the need for a new WCEMS medic station in Liberty Hill, according to the April 12 news release.

“This medic station will service three of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Central Texas,” Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in the release. “The call volume here for [Emergency Services District No.] 4 has increased by 103% from 2017 to 2022, proving that this medic station is absolutely needed.”

Officials said the new station is expected to improve response times.
