A new 10-acre commercial development is in the pipeline for Leander following council’s unanimous approval of a planned unit development, or PUD, on April 4.

The PUD will allow Headmaster Ali Brown—owner of existing business Tiger Mountain Center—to expand on the property and build a multiuse training facility offering sports-related opportunities along with shared workspaces, according to city documents. The property is located at 100 Mockingbird Hill, Leander.

About the project

Ricca Keepers, a representative of the project, said in a letter to city staff the planned uses at the facility include martial arts, teaching and yoga with a community workspace and a cafe. She said other proposed uses in the development include:
  • Outdoor archery
  • An event center with suites to rent
  • A bed and breakfast
  • Spa services
  • A volleyball court
Additionally, the facility will offer a variety of training and exercise classes along with retreats.

The project’s construction timeline is not yet available.
