As the city continues to grow, a number of new businesses have opened their doors in Leander. Here is a noncomprehensive list of new businesses and spots to keep an eye out for.
Now open
Lionness Books
Previously only operating as a mobile bookstore, Lionness Books has now opened its brick-and-mortar store in Leander. Despite delays from a storage fire, the bookstore opened its doors for business in Old Town Leander.
Brushy Creek Splash Pad
The splash pad, which is free, has reopened for the season. The city completed $1.1 million in renovations last year to include new features, such as the slip-resistant surface Life Floor and water sprays camouflaged as rocks. Children can enjoy multiple play zones at the pad, located in Brushy Creek Lake Park.
First Watch
The Florida-based breakfast, brunch and lunch chain, opened its first Leander location along Ronald Reagan Boulevard within the Gateway 29 development. The concept boasts a chef-inspired menu and rotating seasonal offerings, the restaurant offers classics, such as avocado toast, and specialty entrees, including smoked salmon eggs Benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes.
Dipti Boutique
The boutique, which celebrated its grand opening in February, offers a wide range of Indian clothing for customers of all ages. Beyond classic styles like saris and lehengas, the store also offers stitching and alterations.
Fifty/50 Pilates
The business offers strength and sculpt, cardio and endurance, and stretch and yoga classes. All studios will have reformer Pilates, in-studio virtual classes and an on-demand digital content library with classes. Beyond instructor-led classes and private instruction, Fifty/50 Pilates also allows members to reserve a reformer for a workout outside of classes.
KinderCare
KinderCare offers programming for children age 6 weeks to 5 years. The daycare center offers a range of small group pull-out programs focused on music, phonics and cooking. Additionally, the center features an indoor gym. KinderCare is also offering a summer camp for school-age children and children above the age of 3 who have been in district programming during the school year.
Home Depot
The 352,304-square-foot home improvement store sells a variety of tools, outdoor plants, landscaping supplies, flooring, decor, furniture, paint and more. Home Depot also offers services such as truck, tool and large equipment rentals.

Noble Dental Studio
Noble Dental Studio, a new solo private practice, offers general dentistry with an emphasis on quality and personalized care. Under the care of Dr. Sahar Ghamsari, DDS, patients can receive same-day treatment as well as a schedule for convenient hours, such as evenings and Saturdays.
LeapX
LeapX, a gymnastics studio based in Leander, will provide co-ed lessons for children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years. The studio plans to host a grand opening in June.
Prose and Pints
A unique concept blending a bookstore and a beverage bar, Prose and Pints, is planning to open its first brick-and-mortar storefront in August or September. The business will expand from its current online and market presence into a physical space featuring books and novelty items at the front and a micro-cocktail bar at the back. The bar will showcase literature-inspired cocktails and seating for about 20 people.
The Pulao Company
The new Indian restaurant will open in June. Beyond a variety of pulao dishes, the restaurant will offer a range of drinks, including a fresh juice bar, beer, chai and falooda—a cold dessert drink. Chaat and pani puri will also be available.
TopSpin Tennis Academy
The tennis coaching facility is a family-oriented learning center for children, junior and adult tennis players. The 19,136-square-foot facility features two full-sized indoor tennis courts, four indoor red and pickleball court, a full restroom with showers, a small cafe and full pro shop services offering gears, athletic clothing and string services. The academy is headed by Coach Dave Ndinya—a Division I athlete and coach of U.S. Open player Mary Gambale.
The Quarry Splashpad
The Quarry Splash Pad at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park is set to reopen May 23. Beyond sprinklers, water cannons and a climbing wall, the pad also offers neighboring picnic tables and a grassy area. Admission to the pad, which only accepts credit cards, costs $2 upon entry.

Conejos Tex-Mex Cantina
The Leander restaurant is expanding with two new locations in Round Rock and Cedar Park. Co-owner Bobby Hernandez said he expects the Cedar Park location to open in October or November. Hernandez said the menu will be the same across all three locations, offering tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas and more.
Leander Chamber of Commerce
During a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Leander Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center, Travel Texas recognized Leander as a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community. The chamber, which was previously located at 100 N. Brushy St., plans to continue to expand the facilities at their new site.
