3. Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids


The children’s hair salon has more than 100 locations in the U.S. and Canada, providing over 1 million haircuts per year, according to the company’s website. Services at the salon include the signature kids' cut, hairstyling, teen cut and braiding. 5. Waffle House


The 1,840-square-foot diner will be located along Hwy. 29 and has an expected construction start date of June 2026, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction is expected to be complete by winter. The restaurant, which has more than 1,900 locations across 25 states, is known for its simple breakfast menu and distinctive diner jargon. Customers can order hash browns and eggs “smothered” with onions, “covered” with cheese or “diced” with grilled tomatoes, among other options.In the news

6. Operation Liberty Hill


The local nonprofit held a ceremony Nov. 5 to celebrate its 10th anniversary of serving Williamson County. The organization opened its current stand-alone location in 2015 and has since expanded to include a thrift store in addition to its food pantry. Operation Liberty Hill continues to accept donations and volunteers to help fill out the supply.
