Leander bridal boutique Lace and Grace has permanently closed.

The context

As of Aug. 13, the business had temporarily closed. A lockout notice was placed on the business’s front door, which stated that the door locks had been changed by the landowner until the tenant paid all past-due rent and late fees.

When asked for confirmation of closure in August, owner Kasey Schultz said the business had not announced its closure yet. Landowner Alex Bahrami said he offered Schultz access to the building to reopen for a fraction of the amount owed, but she was unresponsive.

The update

On Oct. 21, Bahrami confirmed Schultz did not pay the amount due and the bridal business is now permanently closed.

The bridal boutique sold a variety of dresses, all under $3,000, according to its website. In addition to wedding dresses, the shop carried bridesmaids dresses and mother-of-the-bride dresses.
