Indoor training facility Liberty Hill Athletics is expected to open this summer near the site of Liberty Hill ISD’s Legacy Ranch middle and high school.

Liberty Hill Athletics will offer a 1,000-square-foot matted weight room with equipment and a 5,000-square-foot court area, which would be ideal for activities such as basketball or volleyball, co-owner Charles Himmer said.

Members of the community will be able to rent the court area as a full or half court, Himmer said. Basketball shooting machines will also be available for rent.

Himmer said Liberty Hill Athletics will help fulfill a community need for a dedicated practice space for teams, leagues and more.

“There’s just not a lot of athletic facilities in the area," Himmer said. "Most of the families have to go to Round Rock or Leander or Cedar Park or Georgeotwn. The goal is to offer something here in Liberty Hill where people can go and do trainings or they can have team practices or they can just go train by themselves.”

Liberty Hill Athletics is owned and led by Himmer and Jordan Potts, who are both local residents.
