Friday is St. Patrick's Day, and with spring just around the corner, everyone will be seeing green in the next few weeks. Here are some things people can do to enjoy the warmer weather in Cedar Park and Leander.

March 17 — St. Patrick’s celebration at Whitestone Brewery. The brewery will host a 12-hour celebration experience. The celebration will include the release of a special Golden Stout on Nitro and happy from noon-5 p.m. Jimmy Vega’s food truck will be on site from noon-10 p.m. with a customized Irish menu, including corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, Irish stew, fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. There will be Irish dancer from 7-8 p.m., followed by a DJ from 8-11 p.m. The event is family friendly until 8 p.m., and then is open to guests 21 years and older. Whitestone Brewery, 601 E. March 17—VFW St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The public is invited to join the local Leander VFW chapter for an evening of Irish celebrations. Plates of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots will be sold for $10, as well as Irish Coffee and Grasshoppers by donation. The donations go toward the post’s auxiliary group. The event is from 5-8 p.m. There will be karaoke and a DJ, and a chance to win a “Loaded Irish Basket” raffle with $1 tickets. March 17 — Lighting of Cedar Park City Hall. Join Cedar Park city staff as the exterior of Cedar Park City Hall is lit in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. March 23— Pints & Paws Happy Hour. Whitestone Brewery hosts the happy hour event to benefit Texas Humane Heroes. For every pint sold, the brewery donates $1 to the organization.
