Several Cedar Park neighborhoods are set to see asphalt improvements this year.

The city plans to apply an asphalt rejuvenating agent to residential streets as a part of the fiscal year 2018 Street Rehabilitation Program, which Cedar Park City Council approved during its June 28 meeting. According to council documents, the project will seal minor cracking and extend the service life of the pavement.

City Council approved the project for an amount not to exceed $567,016.80, which will be funded through the city's general fund for fiscal year 2018.

The program will cover multiple subdivisions including Bella Vista, Buttercup Creek Phase IV, Creekview, Heritage Park, Forest Oaks, The Reserve at Brushy Creek, The Trails at Carriage Hills, Quest Village and Whitestone Oaks. The project is slated to begin late July and end early fall, according to city spokesperson Jennie Huerta.
