The water line break near Bagdad Road and Osage Drive was repaired the evening of Aug. 20, but the area—which includes Leander High School, Cedar Ridge Apartments, Shops at Leander and properties along Blueline Drive—remains under a boil-water notice "possibly until Thursday," according to Leander ISD.

"We will have bottled water available for all students," LISD posted on its website. "And Child Nutrition Services will have breakfast and lunch service. We are working with our athletic and band programs to ensure there is plenty of water for activities."

Until further notice, water for drinking, cooking and ice-making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption, according to state guidelines. Once a lab confirms water samples are safe, the boil-water notice will be lifted, according to Leander spokesperson Mike Neu
