Commuters in Cedar Park should be aware that the traffic patterns will change on Anderson Mill Road Thursday night and Friday morning.

The city has scheduled a planned traffic switch for Thursday evening on the roadway, which is currently under construction, according to a statement from the city. Anderson Mill is currently being realigned as a four- and two-lane roadway from RM 1431 to Lime Creek Road in Cedar Park.

Starting at 4 p.m. Thursday, striping crews will begin work on Anderson Mill outside of the existing lanes as to reduce traffic disruption, according to the statement. The restriping and traffic switch will be finished later in the evening when there is less traffic.

The statement said that drivers can anticipate a new traffic pattern on the road south of RM 1431 Friday morning.

The city of Cedar Park and Williamson County are working together to fund the $6.7 million project. Construction is expected to continue until the late summer, according to the city's website.
