Leander drivers accustomed to accessing Middle Brook Drive from Bagdad Road will need to reroute to South Brook Drive as of Monday.
The entrance to Middle Brook Drive at Bagdad Road closes Aug. 7 and will remain closed through October, according to the city of
Leander’s website. South Brook Drive is a suggested alternate access for drivers, according to the city’s website.
The closing is part of Leander’s North Bagdad Road expansion project. Bagdad Road is in the process of being widened from two to five lanes between Hero Way West and Collaborative Way. Construction, which began in April, is scheduled to be complete in October 2018. It is expected to cost an estimated $8.5 million, which is funded by the city of Leander and Williamson County.
Ranchero Road’s intersection with Bagdad Road was
closed July 31 for the project.
