Five roads in Leander are scheduled for rehabilitation starting July 10, said Pat Womack, Leander Public Works Department director.
The roads are:
- Bagdad Road from Old Bagdad Road to Blueline Drive
- Glass Drive from Sonny Drive to Crystal Falls Parkway
- Lacy Drive from Sonny to Sheila Drive
- Sheila from US 183 to SW Drive
- Mockingbird Lane from Crystal Falls Parkway
Throughout the project, which is expected to last three weeks, traffic on affected roads in both directions could be reduced to one lane, according to the city of Leander’s
posted notice.
Womack said the project includes milling—removing two inches of existing asphalt—and repavement. Construction on Bagdad Road will feature restriping.
“There are some other minor associated spot repairs throughout the project, including some concrete repairs at culverts and driveways,” Womack said.
The estimated cost for the project is $988,366, which Womack said will be funded by the general operating fund.
