Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County is beginning its application process for families interested in the Habitat Homeownership Program.

Williamson County families seeking housing in the Georgetown, Leander or Round Rock areas are asked to attend informational meetings to begin the application process.

Habitat for Humanity will be hosting five different sessions during July. Informational meetings in Georgetown will take place July 21 from 7-9 p.m. and July 23 from 2-4 p.m. at The Caring Place Annex , 2001 Railroad St. A session will be held in Leander on July 20 from 7– 9 p.m. at Pat Bryson Hall, 201 N. Brushy St.. Round Rock meetings will be held at First United Methodist Church Round Rock, 1004 N. Mays St., Bldg. 5, Room 127, on July 19 from 7-9 p.m. and July 23rd from 10 a.m.- noon.

Other requirements for the program include living or working in Williamson County for at least the last year as well as U.S. citizenship or residency. Applicants must meet income limits, be in the need for housing, be able to make monthly mortgage payments and be willing to complete 500 volunteer hours with Habitat for Humanity upon selection.
