Pediatric offices to open by March When construction is complete, the facility will provide services to adults and children.[/caption]

Construction will be complete by the end of February on a 75,000-square-foot pediatric medical office building located on Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s campus.

When it opens by March, the facility will provide pediatric specialty and urgent care services as well as some family diagnostic imaging services. Pediatric specialists at the facility will include neurologists, orthopedists, urologists, cardiologists and general surgeons and include physicians from CPRMC and private practices as well as Seton Healthcare Family’s Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. The owner and developer of the building is Pediatric Subspecialty Land Co. North.

Steve Dobias, principal with Indianapolis-based Somerset CPA, the consultant firm assisting with the project, said as of the beginning of January the building is 95 percent leased and has one vacant suite.

CPRMC will provide imaging, lab and urgent care services within the building and will host a Feb. 23 open house for the public.

On Jan. 5, CPRMC closed its imaging center located at 715 Discovery Blvd., Ste. 102, Cedar Park, to make way for the new space at the pediatrics medical office, CPRMC CEO Brad Holland said. Staff from the Discovery location will move into the pediatrics medical office, which will open to the public for services March 1. Other tenants will be open by the end of February or beginning of March, Dobias said.

“As we [build out] this medical campus, this additional higher-end imaging center for the family is really meant to increase convenience for the community [and] increase access,” Holland said.

CPRMC’s Family Imaging Center and Lab will include new equipment, including positron emission cartography, which is used for cancer screening and cardiology services.

“The vision has always been to create a medical campus [that has]more medical services than just an acute-care hospital. Therefore the vision of a medical campus [in the future] may include more preventive as well as post-acute care services so that we may meet the community’s needs … in one convenient location.”
