Story to follow in 2019: Expansions underway for regional water intake system


The Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority is a partnership among Cedar Park, Leander and Round Rock to bring water from Lake Travis to the cities.

The BCRUA starts construction on the expansion of the floating water intake on Lake Travis and water treatment plant this year. This phase could be completed in summer 2020 and will expand the intake’s capacity to 32.5 million gallons of water per day.
