Steve Crawford—a 21-year employee of Leander ISD—has been named the principal of Four Points Middle School, Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell announced July 18 in a news release.

Since 2011, Crawford has served as principal at Reagan Elementary School. He started with LISD in 1998 as a fourth-grade teacher at Giddens Elementary School. He became assistant principal at Cox Elementary School in 2006.

“I am excited to join this strong and dynamic community,” Crawford said in the release. “I can’t wait to partner with students, staff, feeder patterns and our community to continuously support and improve the Four Points Falcons as an elite campus.”

Crawford earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s degree in education administration at Texas State University.

“Steve is a dynamic, proven leader in our district,” Troxell said. “He brings a great deal of experience in best instructional practices and has demonstrated an ability to create a campus learning culture that sets and promotes high expectations of learning for all students and staff.”
