Davina Stringer will become the principal of Winkley Elementary School.

Davina Stringer will become the principal of Winkley Elementary School.

Davina Stringer will become the new principal of Winkley Elementary School in the upcoming school year, according to an April 18 announcement from Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell.

She has been the assistant principal at Winkley since 2015, according to the statement. Previously, she served as assistant principal at Knowles Elementary School, as a fourth grade teacher at Knowles and in Lake Travis ISD, and as a special education paraprofessional in Lake Travis ISD.

Stringer holds a doctorate degree from Texas A&M University, according to the statement.
