Leander ISD’s board of trustees approved a 2 percent of midpoint salary raise for employees, including teachers, administration, school nurses and counselors, paraprofessionals and other staffers, at a meeting June 7.
The pay increase will take effect in the 2018-19 school year, and coincides with the approval of other changes to the district’s compensation plan and medical fund, according to
LISD documents. Among approved changes is how LISD will increase its health insurance contribution to $330 for each employee each month,
according to district documents.

Leander ISD employees could see a salary increase in the 2018-19 school year as well as additional funding for employee health insurance.
The LISD board of trustees considered staff recommendations for salary and benefit increases at a meeting Thursday, May 17.
LISD staff recommended increasing the district’s contribution for employee health insurance to $320 per month and for the board to provide additional dollars for the self-funded medical plan, according to
district documents.
The suggested raise averages 2 percent of the midpoint salary for all district employees across the board, according to the documents.
The board of trustees is set to vote on whether to adopt the employee compensation updates at a meeting scheduled for June 7.
Trustees also
unanimously approved the use of unassigned epinephrine autoinjectors on district schools at the May 17 meeting.
