Laurie Vondersaar was named the senior executive director for Information Technology Services at Leander ISD on July 10.[/caption] Laurie Vondersaar is the new Leander ISD senior executive director for Information Technology Services, Superintendent Dan Troxell announced July 10. “As the new head of LISD’s Information and Technology Services, Ms. Vondersaar’s rich background and industry experience will guide the district as it strives to meet the ever-increasing needs of 21st-century learners,” Troxell said. “In providing support services, our focus will continue to be on providing excellent customer service to our students, teachers and staff.” Vondersaar comes to LISD from Garland ISD, where she served as the executive technology officer and technology bond manager. She previously worked at Prosper ISD from 2005-15 in technology roles, including as the district’s chief technology officer. Prior to entering administration, Vondersaar worked with students as an instructional technology specialist and as a teacher. “I am excited to become a part of the LISD family,” Vondersaar said in a statement. “I look forward to working alongside such a successful team of educators, administrators and students.” Vondersaar earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of North Texas in Denton. She completed her principal and superintendent certifications at The University of Texas at Tyler.
