Every school campus in Leander ISD met the standard for state accountability testing, said Malinda Golden, deputy superintendent of school improvement, at an Oct. 6 board of trustees workshop.
Golden said the district administers about 43,000 total assessments to all LISD students each year and 86 percent of them met or exceeded the test standard.
Golden said the district is excited about the 86 percent rating, but not satisfied with it, and officials plan to work to improve the percentage. She said challenges in standardized testing within the district included special education and writing and social studies for English language learners, or ELL students
—areas of improvement on which the district intends to focus.
