Federal student aid application period now open for ACC students

Austin Community College students seeking financial aid may now apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid program, according to an ACC press release.

The aid program, which opened Oct. 1, requires students to fill out an online application at www.studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. According to the press release, students have a better chance of receiving aid by applying early. Those who qualify for financial aid typically receive an average of more than $5,200 per year, according to ACC.

Aid comes in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, military exemptions and more. To learn more, visit austincc.edu/financialaid.
