Cedar Park residents can live “A Day in the Bell District” on June 19. The city of Cedar Park's event invites people to participate in activities and learn more about the city’s Bell Boulevard redevelopment project. The free event will be held at the Cedar Park Recreation Center located at 1435 Main St., Cedar Park, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interactive exhibits include an open house and a virtual reality goggle tour of Bell Park, according to a June 13 press release from the city. Attendees can tour the four Bell District zones, including the social hub, restaurants and shops, the library and Bell Park. Project developer RedLeaf Properties will meet attendees and lead presentations on the Bell District at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The city and RedLeaf Properties are now finalizing development agreements and project plans, according to the release. The Bell District is a 40-acre revitalization project with retail, restaurant, office and residential spaces. Since 2014, the city has aimed to make the Bell District a community-gathering place and a family-friendly destination, according to the release.
