Williamson County Commissioners Court authorized Blake Skiles, a purchasing agent, to advertise and receive competitive sealed proposals for additional facilities not exceeding $500,000 at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park in their meeting Feb. 20. The base bid requires wastewater work and at least one new restroom facility. Optional additions include another restroom, site work, related utilities, covered parking and storage buildings. The expected expenditure is $500,000 but not guaranteed, according to the bid agenda. Randy Bell, senior director of Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department, said they expect the project to cost $500,000 if not less. “We will review all the submitted proposals and select the best fit for the county,” said Bell. Proposals must be received on or before Friday, Mar. 16 at 3 p.m. Electronic proposals can be submitted at www.bidsync.com.
