The city of Cedar Park plans to extend East New Hope Drive from Cottonwood Creek Trail to Ronald Reagan Boulevard and has been moving forward on acquiring right of way for the project.

City Council added an extension and connection of Arrow Point Drive to the New Hope extension in March, which raised the project cost to $12 million, according to the city. During an April 13 meeting, city staff told council members that the last parcel of right of way had been acquired for the project.

The city plans to advertise for construction bids in May, Senior Engineering Associate Alan Green said, and construction on the project could start in early summer.
