During a Thursday night meeting, Cedar Park City Council heard a request to allow the Texas Stars and Ryan Sanders Sports services, or RS3, to convert the guest services space at the H-E-B Center into a space to sell craft beer and spirits.
According to city documents, guest services is located at the main entrance near a major access point, making it a very valuable space.
“Currently the space is underutilized, and they’d like to add an additional revenue source, as well as provide another amenity for the guests at the center,” Economic Development Director Phil Brewer told council members.

Per the organization’s lease agreement, in order to make changes, alternations or modifications to the center, the Texas Stars and RS3 must receive approval from the building's landlord, which is the city.
Cedar Park Mayor Matt Powell said it was exciting to hear new ideas for the H-E-B Center.
“With new management in there, they’re seeing the building with new eyes and seeing new opportunities,” he said.
Brewer said RS3 is currently working on lining up which beers to sell.
“It’s going to be Texas craft beers only, and I’ll be working with them to see if we can’t get a couple of our locals [breweries] represented,” he said.
City Council unanimously approved the resolution at the meeting.
