The city of Lakeway police and public works crews are sanding locations and monitoring local roadways in Lakeway as road conditions remain icy following recent weather, according to a press release from the city. Lakeway Drive near Lakeway Boulevard was previously closed due to icy conditions on the steep roadway but was reopened, the press release said. Officials are urging residents to avoid travel as temperatures remain below freezing.
