Bee Cave City Council adopted a resolution that will allow for construction to begin on the Willie Way extension project at a Feb. 27 meeting.

The gist

The adopted resolution between the city and the Bee Cave Economic Development Corporation is for the reimbursement of $3 million in funds made as part of a 380 agreement for the design and construction of the project, city officials said.

A 380 agreement allows municipalities to offer city funds for the promotion of economic development, and to stimulate business and commercial activity, according to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

The details

The Willie Way extension project is part of a 380 grant agreement between the city, Kent Sports Holdings LP, and Hill Country Indoor Sports & Fitness that was adopted in April 2023, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.

The project will extend Willie Way south from The Backyard property to Hwy. 71, according to city documents.
