The largest mobility project in western Travis County carries a construction cost estimate of about $80 million plus an undetermined right of way cost, and the Texas Department of Transportation is still seeking input from stakeholders.
In that spirit, TxDOT is holding an open house June 26 at Bee Cave City Hall in the Hill Country Galleria, which will be similar to an
open house held in Lakeway in October.
A press release from TxDOT states attendees may review materials regarding proposed improvements and provide input, and information regarding right of way needs and access to adjacent properties will be available.
“Proposed improvements include widening the existing four-lane divided rural roadway to a six-lane divided urban roadway with one additional travel lane in each direction, adding raised medians and adding a continuous bicycle/pedestrian shared-use path along the corridor,” the release states.
Those who cannot attend but would like to provide input can type in the search phrase “RM 620 South” after clicking
